RG- why do they refer to calling in sick as "call out" and why do they say "weed" ?It's cool language, and knowing the origin interests me...

Jenni--It was crazy, for sure. I am down to one day at the dive as of when I get back. I can work full time at the bar and leave the dive altogether. I hate to do it, because I like waitressing there. But the chaos the new owners allow to unfold every day is a little much. Soooooo, we'll see! Happy belated Mother's Day to you, too.

mikepete--So, how did the first day go??

Rhon--All okay now that it's done. And I am with you, if I wasn't working Mother's Day, I NEVER stepped foot in a restaurant on that day if I didn't have to.

last one home--Ha!

banquet manager--Ummmmmmm.

JoeinVegas--I will actually work two days and three nights. Not so bad. And I already love the regulars I have during the two days a week I am there. I may keep one day at the dive, as I said to Jenni. Just not sure.

Craig--I don't think there's much math anywhere these days when most younger servers are used to working with computerized systems. Throw them in a place where you have to write tickets and make change in your head, and it is amazing to watch.

This is why I insisted on eating at home today. It is much easier to cook (or let the hubby cook something easy) than to deal with what happened at your place, I'm sorry that you got stuck in hell but hopefully your time with RGD will make up for it. Have fun!!!
