Normally I don’t comment on this, but one of my best friends is dating a man 20 years her senior! WTF???

Come on, she’s 30 and he’s 50. Problem? Well he says he wants kids but does he really mean it? Does he really want to chase kids in his 50s? Or is he just stringing her along?

I think he would have had kids with his first wife if he really wanted them. Obviously not, or adopted. Maybe it will last and they will be stupid in love, but I think it’s a huge risk. NOT that I ever told her.

Wait a minute, where is the rule about no age difference permitted? After all, look at Hugh Heffner and his girls (on second thought, don’t) Maybe they are in love, and he is looking forward to a home nurse that can change his diapers someday and she is looking (Anna Nicole like) for just a few years to inheritance.

I dated a guy who was 16 years my senior. he only looked about 10, max. he was lovely and loved me tremendously – unfortunately I found the age difference (and living with him) very difficult. I’m now with a guy 8 years my junior and loving every second. Completely different and wonderful.

I dated a man who was significantly older and he definitely looked it. I also look younger than I am (thanks for the good genes Mom and Grandma!) Most people would put at least 20 years between us. We knew each other from college — I was getting my Bachelors while he got his Masters. We’d get looks wherever we went and some of his friends would make comments if they didn’t know our history. I was always amused by it; he was supremely annoyed. Probably one of the many reasons we didn’t stay a couple but remain friends.

I wonder how long they’ll last being stupid in love.
