Ouch! These comments are getting harsh. I’m not so sure they merit a response from you actually. You don’t have to justify your writes on your own blog! If it were me, I would simply let those comments flow and attribute them to my writing style. Then I would delete them LOL. But that’s just me.

Quit eating fries period…they go right to your ass.

Fuck’em if they can’t take a joke.

I forgot to congratulate you on curbing your fry eating. It can be tough especially when you are under stress, which you seem to be. Good work. Uh, unless it means you quit eating entirely, that’s not good either.

Ali–Thank you. And the dog is fantastic, if not a little crazy like her owner.

Ex-RM–One thing I am already really getting weary of: the hang up when I am still talking to someone on the phone, reconfirming their information. They just hang up on me mid sentence. Seriously. It’s an even nicer touch when they hang up by slamming the phone down. I guess if I owned a business and these horrible people filled my coffers during the season, I would be more tolerant. Given I am not one of the owners of my place, um, I despise the seasonal ones.

RG, believe me, things improve considerably once the snow disappears up North and the biggest a-holes return to their lair. I never understood how people could be so unhappy while staying in ‘paradise’. Maybe being away from those they know lets them reveal their real, ugly personality. It happens here in the Panhandle too, but to a smaller degree.

Kim–Whomever makes me look the best!

Tinker–She’s all that. Vicki just read my post one way, and Jane another. As I said, that means my writing was pretty weak in this post–even you are confused! Bottom line, she’s a nice girlfriend, even if others around question her as a friend to me because we are so different. When someone was particularly pointed in voicing his opinions to me about her, it sent me into a quick tailspin of sadness, making me realize how much I miss my DC pals and how empty my life here can often feel.

I’m SO confused. Your friend. If you know and recognize her limitations, then she can only be a positive influence on your life right now. That can’t be too bad, can it? So enjoy. She may however be MORE than you thought, and that can’t be bad, either. So maybe you need to tell Vicki to mind her own business? Unless Vicki is also your friend? If you need friends right now, and I sense that you do, then you need to be taking a chance on more of them, not fewer.

Kim–Right about now, I am sick of the fries.

Vickie and Jane–I can always tell when my writing is inexact and suffering, because what I meant is not conveyed at all.

Vickie–The point is, she has been incredibly nice and thoughtful toward me, and included me in a lot that has led to my meeting other people. She is flighty and parties more than I can keep up with, but her heart is in the right place. What was hurtful, was to have someone else tell me how unworthy she was as a friend, as a person. She is my only friend here, and while she may not seem so great to others, she is a good friend to me. Does that make sense?

Jane–Vickie thinks she shouldn’t be my friend. You think I spoke ill of her. Again, another indication that my writing was far from clear. She’s my friend. I cried when I had to defend her, and then cried some more missing my friends back home. Maybe calibre was the wrong word. She’s just nothing like any friend I’ve ever had. I know her limitations, and I am okay with them, and very much okay with the friendship she has extended to me.

Jessie–Thank you for understanding Friday’s post. I am kind of tired of this roller coaster, and tired of the lows. Yes, writing does make me feel a lot better. Instead of a short story, however, I have got some great ideas for writing a screenplay of RG–the movie. Not really kidding
