It's sounds like a lot of restaurants in this area - 'Preciously Pretentious.' Between Waiter Rant and your blog, I've been 'blogucated' about the industry. Makes me much more aware during my dining experiences. You know that it's easy to get stressed out and lose all faith in humanity on the days when there are just a few too many self-entitled jerks who confuse the word 'server' with 'slave'... Having done a lot of customer service myself, i expect that jackass fellow probably had been having a "Day"... or a "Week" perhaps... but you 'n I both know that that is NEVER acceptable. what a jerk. I feel for the green guys and I want to yell at management (and the jerk servers) that if they want me to come back they'd better train their people to have some confidence. And his response to you about it all being wrong would have had me walking out the door. I have patience, but that would have sent me over the edge.
