Week In Review Highlights

Monday: A challenging customer thrust her empty Dasani bottle a tad too close to my face and said, “I assume you have a place to throw this away?”

Tuesday: During a walk home, I cut through the lobby of a five-star hotel and wondered, “Are the customers nicer in a place where a harpist plucks soothing tunes?”

Wednesday: No one was in a good mood–not my bus drivers, not the staff, not the customers, not even the usually cheery bank clerks. I blamed the pollen count.

Thursday: Three obviously well-off guys on a serious drug binge came in for a late lunch. On a positive note, they didn’t fall down, go into convulsions, or die in our restaurant.

Friday: I replayed “Five O’Clock World” multiple times on my IPod after I got off work.

Here’s looking toward next week….

“you can assume I know where you can stick it.”

Some days I just hate people. I could never do your job, I have NO patience for rudeness. I’d get fired on my first day for the above comment.

love your blog! Just found it recently but I’ve read most of your archive, it’s fascinating.
